Born in Crystal City, TX, Bobby’s spirit was fueled by his deep faith in God and his unwavering love for family. He was a devoted family member, always putting loved ones first and creating cherished memories during family gatherings. Bobby had an infectious laugh and an extraordinary ability to make any event a celebration, earning him the title of "life of the party."

Bobby had a wide array of passions that defined his joyful life. An avid Miami Dolphins fan, he filled Sundays with excitement and spirited discussions about the game. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether he was watching nature, cruising in his car, or enjoying cookouts with family and friends. His favorite dish, bacon cheeseburgers, became a staple at gatherings, showcasing his talent for bringing people together around good food.

A lover of western movies, Bobby appreciated stories that celebrated adventure and camaraderie. He enjoyed challenging friends to a game of chess or checkers, always ready to engage in friendly competition. His playful nature and outgoing personality made him a beloved figure in his community.

Bobby’s love for animals was evident; he always had a soft spot for pets and treated them as part of the family. His compassion and kindness extended to all living beings, reflecting the values he held dear.

Bobby is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 40 years, Leticia Zavala, his 3 loving children, 9 beautiful grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, his mother Norma Villa Vermeulen, and numerous nieces and nephews. Though Bobby has left this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his boundless enthusiasm for life, his love for laughter, and the way he brought people together. Bobby is preceded by his father, Isaias (Chay) Zavala.

A memorial service celebrating Bobby's life will be held on November 3, 2024 from 2PM-5PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home.
