Ramon Zavala

Ramon Zavala was born in Silao Guanajuato, MX on August 31, 1950 to Miguel and Josefina Zavala. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 with his wife and children and resided in Santa Maria, TX for 43 years. He worked for Adam Farms as a foreman in La Feria, TX for over 20 years. Besides his family, one of his most prized accomplishments was becoming a US citizen in 2017. He was a devoted husband, father, loving grandfather, and a Great man overall. He was known to befriend anyone who crossed his path, and enjoyed talking to everyone. He was a hard working man, who enjoyed riding his bike, working outside in the yard, planting as many flowers and vegetables as he could he surely had a green thumb, he enjoyed the beach, he loved his sweetbread with coffee and watching his Chivas (soccer) play or any boxing match. He was always playfully bickering with the love of his life, Florentina Zavala. Everyone that knew Ramon, knew he was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to his children whom he loved immensely.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55yrs Florentina Zavala his seven children Maria Perez (+Efrain), Gerardo Zavala (Marisol), Javier Zavala (Sylvia), Miguel Zavala (Serena), Jose Loreto Zavala (Celestina), Ramon Zavala Jr.(Julie) and Corina Zavala. His 13 grandchildren Natalie Zavala, Christian Zavala, Emily Zavala, Kayla Perez, Elia Perez, Efrain Perez Jr, Preston Zavala, Jazlynn Zavala, McKayla Sanchez, Ethan Zavala, Alyson Zavala, Aliah and Sandy Zavala. His sister Juanita Zavala Torres along with various family members that reside in Silao Guanajuato, MX.

Preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Josefina Zavala. His brother Marcial Zavala and sister Victoria Zavala. His uncle Jose Loreto Zavala and aunt Juanita Zavala.

Dad, you will be greatly missed but we have peace in our hearts that you’re resting with our Lord and Savior. Until we meet again in our hearts forever. We love you!

Pallbearers will be Javier Zavala, Miguel Zavala, Jose Loreto Zavala, Ramon Zavala Jr., Christian Zavala, Preston Zavala, Ethan Zavala and Efrain Perez Jr.. Honorary Pallbearer will be Gerardo Zavala.

A visitation for Ramon will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
