Paul was a graduate of LaMoille High School in 1986, graduated from IVCC, and Sangamon State University where he received a degree in juvenile criminal justice.
After graduation, Paul was employed at the Covenant Children’s Home in Princeton where he worked as a youth counselor. Later, he worked at the Ottawa Correctional Facilities, drove for Roehl Trucking, worked at Mid American Growers in Granville Illinois, and served as a guard at a prison in Beeville, Texas.
Paul was a great lover of the outdoors, (the Carver pond was one of his favorite solaces). He loved to read and made many creative, beautiful, and functional wood projects.
He had a sympathetic and compassionate heart for those who needed a little extra help and would give of himself despite his own meager resources. He also loved God and family, and they loved him as well - so much.
Paul was preceded in death by his very loving maternal and paternal grandparents. They have now welcomed him into heaven.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.heavenlygracergv.com for the Harvey family.
