Oscar Daniel Hernandez, age 46, of San Benito, Texas was called to his eternal home by the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Oscar was born September 28, 1973 to Marta Hernandez and Susano Hernandez.
Oscar is survived by his daughter's Clarissa Nicole Hernandez; Karyna Iliana Hernandez; Kassandra Denise Hernandez; and his son Daniel Adrian Hernandez; his parents Susano Hernandez and Marta Hernandez; his brother Hector Hernandez (Laura Ortega), and sister's Diana Lopez (Edmundo Lopez) and Alma Hernandez.
Oscar leaves behind to cherish his memory his 4 beautiful children. He was an amazing father from Karate practices to being the biggest cheerleader for his kids in the Harlingen South Band. All his children were the love of his life and made him so proud.
Oscar was employed by Valley Baptist Medical Center Harlingen for 25 years and was currently the supervisor of the MRI department. He loved his staff and co-workers. Anyone that met him remember him as cheerful , friendly, helpful and always with a great sense of humor.
Oscar had many joys in life from never missing a Dallas Cowboys game to always trying to attend one at least once a season. He always enjoyed cheering for the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also liked to stay active with his Fit-bit and looked forward to Dove Hunting season.
Oscar was the "Rock" and unifier of the Hernandez Family. He always wanted for the family to stay close and for cousins to spend time with each other. Oscar always found time to call his mom and check up on his parents. He enjoyed spending time with his brother and dad and making great memories. His most cherished memory was being able to take his dad to a Yankee's game in New York.
The whole family and children would like to thank everyone from family to friends to co-workers and medical staff for the Love and prayers during this time God Bless Everyone.
A visitation for Oscar will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559 whit a rosary on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 7:00 PM. A cremation will occur. Due to the current restrictions and the safety of the family , the establishment chapel will be limited to no more the 50 individuals at a the time during visitation. All individuals must wear a face covering or mask and must maintain social distancing. In addition, individuals must refrain from handshaking and hugging. The family appreciates your compliance, and patience and understanding.
