Norma lived in Harlingen most of her young adult life, later moving to Sweetwater, TX . She returned to Harlingen TX several years later where she lived the rest of her beautiful life.
Norma embraced the time spent with her family which she loved unconditionally.
She loved to play loteria, the beach, and was always excited to cook and bake for her family.
Norma was an animal lover and her animals loved her in return.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Alanis and Ignacia Guevara Williams; four brothers Fermin, Rodolfo, Ernesto, and Leonel Alanis. She is survived by her loving partner of 14 years, Gilberto Perez, her son Michael (Laura) Grimaldo Sr, three grandchildren, her boy-Christian, her mamacita de gamma- Raelyn, and her perrito de gamma , Michael Jr. She is also survived by her stepson Jose Antonio (Amy) Grimaldo, brothers Jesus Alanis and Sam (Gloria) Williams Jr; sisters Esmeralda Vela, Cristina (Arturo) Mendez, and numerous nieces and nephews who she carried in her heart.

A visitation for Norma will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will occur Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
