Micaela (kayla) Alvarado

On June 4, 1991, our beautiful, caring, and loving princess, Micaela Alvarado, was born in Othello, Washington, to Sergio and Gloria Alvarado. That day, the sun shined a little brighter, the flowers bloomed a little fuller, and our hearts overflowed with love. From the very beginning, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Later that year, her family moved to Harlingen, Texas, where Kayla grew up surrounded by laughter, adventure, and endless love.

From childhood, Kayla was a light in our lives. She had a personality that was larger than life—always smiling, always laughing, always finding a way to make every moment special. She was adored by her sisters, Cristal Lizzeth and Jessica Rubee Alvarado, and she cherished her role as an aunt to her nephew, Alberto Sergio Garza, and her nieces, Kaitlyn Faith and Scarlett Nevaeh Garza. She loved her family deeply, and they were the heart of everything she did.

Kayla had a graceful and feminine spirit. She loved doing her nails, trying new styles, and making sure she always looked her best—not out of vanity, but because she found joy in the little things that made life beautiful. She had a warmth about her that made people feel welcome, and she had a way of brightening even the most ordinary moments with her laughter and charm.

Kayla attended Travis Elementary and later Vernon Middle School, where she discovered her love for cheerleading. She thrived in the excitement of it all—being part of a team, cheering on her school, and forming lifelong friendships. In 2010, she graduated from Harlingen High School South, ready to take on the world with her fearless spirit.

She had a deep love for adventure and the outdoors. Hiking was her escape, her happy place. She found joy in exploring new trails, breathing in the fresh air, and capturing the beauty of nature through her camera. If you look through the countless photos she left behind, you’ll see a woman who truly embraced life—whether standing at the top of a mountain, standing in the ocean at sunset, or simply soaking in the beauty of the world around her.

Traveling was another passion of hers, especially when it meant spending time with her sisters. Every year, they made it a tradition to take trips together—laughing, exploring, and strengthening a bond that nothing could ever break. They were like Charlie’s Angels, always together, always supporting one another. Their adventures weren’t just about seeing new places; they were about making memories, about creating moments of joy that would last a lifetime.

But more than anything, Kayla will be remembered for her heart. She was deeply caring, always wanting to bring happiness to those around her. Whether it was through her jokes, her big hugs, or simply being there when someone needed her, she made life a little brighter for the people she loved.

Kayla had a deep and unwavering love for her family. She adored her parents and held an unbreakable bond with her sisters. She lived for her nephew and nieces, treating them as if they were her own. She celebrated their milestones, cheered them on, and made them feel as though they could accomplish anything in the world.

On February 12, 2025, a piece of our hearts went with her when she left this world. Though the pain of losing her is immeasurable, we take comfort in knowing that her soul rests in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, for we trust in the promise of eternal life through Him. While we mourn, we also rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in Heaven, holding her precious jewels, Xander and Gloria Jade.

Until we meet again, Kayla, we will carry your love in our hearts, in our laughter, and in the way we cherish every moment of this beautiful life. We love you forever.

A visitation will occur on Friday, February 28, 2025, beginning at 2:00pm and continue until 9:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm. All service will conclude at 9:00 pm

Más tarde ese mismo año, su familia se mudó a Harlingen, Texas, donde Kayla creció rodeada de risas, aventuras y un amor infinito.

Desde niña, Kayla fue una luz en nuestras vidas. Tenía una personalidad radiante—siempre sonriendo, siempre riendo, siempre encontrando la manera de hacer cada momento especial. Era adorada por sus hermanas, Cristal Lizzeth y Jessica Rubee Alvarado, y amaba profundamente su papel de tía con su sobrino, Alberto Sergio Garza, y sus sobrinas, Kaitlyn Faith y Scarlett Nevaeh Garza. Su familia era su mayor tesoro, y amaba con todo su corazón.

Si vemos las innumerables fotos que nos dejó, vemos a una mujer que realmente abrazó la vida—ya sea en la cima de una montaña, sumergida en el océano al atardecer o simplemente disfrutando de la belleza de su entorno.

Viajar también era una de sus grandes pasiones, especialmente cuando podía hacerlo con sus hermanas. Cada año, hicieron de los viajes una tradición—riendo, explorando y fortaleciendo un lazo que nada podría romper. Eran como los Ángeles de Charlie, siempre juntas, siempre apoyándose mutuamente. Sus aventuras no solo eran para conocer nuevos lugares; eran para crear recuerdos y momentos de felicidad que durarían toda la vida.

Pero más que nada, Kayla será recordada por su gran corazón. Era una persona profundamente amorosa, siempre buscando alegrar a quienes la rodeaban. Ya fuera con sus bromas, sus abrazos o simplemente estando presente cuando alguien la necesitaba, Kayla hacía la vida más especial para todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.

Kayla tenía un amor inmenso e inquebrantable por su familia. Adoraba a sus padres y tenía un vínculo irrompible con sus hermanas. Vivía para su sobrino y sus sobrinas, tratándolos como si fueran sus propios hijos. Celebraba sus logros, los alentaba y les hacía sentir que podían alcanzar cualquier meta en el mundo.

El 12 de febrero de 2025, una parte de nuestro corazón se fue con ella cuando dejó este mundo. Aunque el dolor de perderla es inmenso, encontramos consuelo en saber que su alma descansa en los amorosos brazos de nuestro Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo. No nos afligimos como aquellos que no tienen esperanza, porque confiamos en la promesa de la vida eterna a través de Él. Mientras lloramos su ausencia, también nos regocijamos al saber que ahora está en el cielo, sosteniendo en sus brazos a sus preciosos tesoros, Xander y Gloria Jade.

Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, Kayla, llevaremos tu amor en nuestros corazones, en nuestras risas y en la forma en que atesoramos cada momento de esta hermosa vida. Te amaremos por siempre.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 28 de febrero de 2025, comenzando a la 1:00 p. m. y continuará hasta las 9:00 p. m. A las 19:00 horas se llevará a cabo un servicio de oración. Todo el servicio concluirá a las 9:00 pm.
