Maria D Lopez

Maria D. Lopez, 80, of San Benito, entered into heaven on January 10, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Eleuteria Cortez, seven brothers and one sister.. Maria is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elixsandro Lopez, her daughter Irma (Jason) Martell, her nephew who she considered her son, Efrain Lopez, granddaughters Brianna and Kayla Martell, her grandson Noah Martell, brother Florencio (Anita) Cortez, her provider of many years, whom she loved like a daughter Norma (Frank) Cedillo, as well as, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Throughout her life up until her very last breath, she continued to put her complete faith and trust in God, and is now rejoicing in heaven. Pallbearers will be Efrain Lopez, Gonzalo Gonzales, Baldemar Cortez, Gene Resendez, Noah Martell, Bryan Lopez, Rudy Lopez and Alfonso Rodriguez. The family would like to thank the staff at Veranda Rehab, Bee First, and United Home Care for all the care they provided. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, from 3 PM to 9 PM prayer service at 7:00 pm at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home in La Féria, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018, with burial to follow.
