After undergoing a double bypass surgery, her heart gave out. She was an amazing mother and grandmother whom devoted her life to all of her children and grandchildren. Her sweet smile and endless love will live on in the memories of all who knew her kind-hearted persona. She was the epitome of love. Her unconditional , selfless love will forever embrace us every time we think of her.
She spent most of her final years serving Jehovah and preaching the importance of life, love, family, and God's Kingdom. She always sought to spread her spiritual food so that others may also know the word of Jehovah God.
Born on April 17, 1944, Maria Guadalupe resided in Santa Rosa, TX, for nearly 59 years, 53 of which she spent with her beloved husband, Jose Castillo, before he lost his battle to cancer in 2015.
Survived by her children: Margarita (Cruz) Lopez, Sulema (Alvaro Jr.) Obregon, Jose (Lucy) Castillo Jr., Marco "Tony" (Virginia) Castillo, Manuel (Cathy) Castillo, and Ana Maria (Polo Jr.) Sanchez, 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gil Garcia, Fortino Garcia, Jose Garcia, Antonina Garcia, and Maria Del Carmen Garcia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Castillo, her father Bentura Garcia, her mother Maria de la Luz Castilleja, and brothers Reynaldo Garcia and Domingo Garcia.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 3-9 pm at the Heavenly Grace Funeral Home.
