Early years in life were in McAllen Texas where he grew up and attended McAllen High school.
A military Veteran who joined the United States Marine Corps and served from 1973 through 1975 during the end of the Vietnam War Campaign.
Later in life his hobbies included bicycling and being a member of the McAllen Bicycles of the Valley Group. He was the oldest member of the riders group and really proud to have been able to cycle and keep up with his teammates.
Omar loved his two dogs: Buttercup and Molly, where they brought him fulfillment with caring joy and unconditional love on a daily basis.
The pillars in Omar’s life were his aunts and uncles that continued to be a support throughout his years and whom he cared about deeply.
Omar will be reunited in heaven with his grandparents, Consuelo and Severiano Delgado; mother Pauline Perez, uncles and aunts; Enrique "Henry" Delgado, Juan G. ( Eva + ) Delgado, Severiano ( Aida + ) Delgado Jr., Viola ( Rodolfo + ) Ramos, Noe Sanchez and Omar’s spouse, Pauline Perez.
Omar’s kindness lives on through his surviving aunts and uncles; Minerva Sanchez, Consuelo ( Reynaldo ) Ortega, Robert ( Diana ) Delgado, and Rosie Delgado along with sisters and brothers; Minerva Silva, Jose Carlos Perez, Sylvia Perez, Armando ( Jennifer ) Perez, Xavier Perez, Sr. and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family wishes to extend a very special “Thank You” to Alma and Esequiel Garcia along with Rudy Ramos and Omar’s great friend, Hector D. Ibarra for always being there with support and love throughout his lifetime.
