Jose Luis Rodriguez

Jose was born in Muleshoe, Texas and brought joy to everyone who knew him with his ever-resent smile, warm heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. A devoted husband and father he cherished every moment spent with his family, especially his daughters, often filling their days with laughter and love.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Rita Marie Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, daughters; Jessica Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, Josephine (Jose) Leal,Dayton, Ohio, Jessenia Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, Jasmine Rodriguez, Mathis, Texas, Jozlyn Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas; his Son, Angel Huerta; his granddaughter; Zaylyn Leal. His Father Norberto Mendoza, Ennis, Texas. Siblings; Angelita (Cesar) Montemayor, Corpus Christi, Texas, Baldemar (Ruby) Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, Laura Mendoza, Ennis, Texas, Norberto Mendoza Jr., Ennis, Texas, Marisol (Amanda) Chavez, Harlingen, Texas, Emilio (Yuliana) Acosta, Pecos, Texas, Edel (Jasmine) Acosta, Pecos, Texas, Xavier (Ana) Acosta, Pecos, Texas, Eli (Hailey) Acosta, Pecos, Texas

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio Acosta and Mary Alice Mendoza.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Josephine Leal, Jessenia Rodriguez, Jasmine Rodriguez, Baldemar Rodriguez, Norberto Mendoza Jr., Cyrus Ramos, Max Salinas and Orlando Munoz. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jessica Rodriguez, Jozlyn Rodriguez, Angel Huerta, Jose Ramos III and Steve Rodriguez.

He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros, and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He found peace in fishing and strength in his faith as an active member of Faith Pleases God Church in Harlingen, Texas.

Jose's kindness, laughter, and love for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Services for Jose will be Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2 pm to 10 pm, prayer service at 7 pm. Monday, April 14, there will be a Chapel Service at 10 am followed by Burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas.
