Mr. Rasicot is survived by his wife, Mary B. Rasicot; three children, Jamie, Margaret and Joseph. He was the second of four siblings.
James liked to walk in the open air, enjoying the climate of South Texas and that’s why he chose to live in Harlingen. He worked for law firms in Minnesota so he had to travel a lot.
Dr. Rasicot is a professional trial consultant from Harlingen, Texas. He assists trial attorneys with their case work-up, voir dire questions, in-court juror evaluations, demonstrative evidence, and opening/closing statements. He is involved in both civil and criminal cases.
He is considered one of the top authorities in the country in jury selection. He has been a full-time trial consultant for over 30 years and has been involved in over 300 jury trials.
The success of his methods has earned him media coverage throughout the United States. He has been on national radio and T.V. talk shows as a trial analyst covering the O.J. Simpson trial. He has been featured in more than 50 newspaper and magazine articles including Newsweek, Congressional Quarterly, Harpers, New York Times and he is included in Who's Who in American Law.
Dr Rasicot is a former university professor. He developed and has taught graduate courses in interpersonal communications. He lectures nationally for law firms, law schools and various legal organizations. Dr. Rasicot has been featured in C.L.E. programs in more than 40 states including the ABA National Convention, U.S. Department of Justice and Harvard Law School.
Dr. Rasicot's legal text, Winning Jury Trials, illustrates how verbal and visual information affects jurors' decisions. The text also explains his unique jury selection system and how to integrate your case-in-chief with your opening and closing statements. He shows you how to combine legal, psychological and sociological concepts to produce winning trial techniques for your case.
His company, Professional Litigation Services, has been working with successful trial lawyers throughout the United States since 1980.
Dr. Rasicot is also a nationally certified general mediator and a nationally certified family mediator.
Memorial Service will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home located in La Feria, Texas on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
