Irene loved traveling, baking, playing loteria, going to the beach, fishing, playing the slot machines, and of course, loving her favorite football team, Dallas Cowboys.
Irene is survived by her husband Emilio Castillo; her son Jeremy Marquez; her step-sons Julio Castillo and Orlando Castillo; and her siblings Zaragoza Gutierrez and Rosa Gutierrez.
Irene is preceded by her parents Hector Vera and Beatrice Gutierrez.
A visitation for Irene will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 12PM - 10PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559. A chapel service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10AM following the burial.
