Dr. Cavusoglu passed away peacefully at his residence on a sunny winter morning surrounded by his loved ones.
He moved to Harlingen in 1968 and, as a physician, chose to practice at the Texas State Hospital for thirty years helping the less fortunate.
“Dr. C.” loved his family, eating at Jason’s Deli, and all of his buddies from the notorious Whataburger gang (you know who you are!).
He is survived by his children Erol Cavusoglu, Peri and Bob Taylor, Leyla Fitzgerald; his grandchildren Alex and Kellen Moss, Karli and Josh Martin, Christian Taylor, Colton Taylor; and his granddogs Copper, Baby, Wookie Bear, Keo, Russell, and Gumball.
A special thanks goes out to Dr. Shenkenberg, Dr. Flores, Dr. Minor, Onder Ari and all of the staff at Allstate Hospice, Stacy Dukes, Lupita Rodriguez, Larry and Barbara Jackson, and Robert Farmer.
