George Edward Banks

George Edward Banks, age 67, of Holt Michigan passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Harlingen, Texas. George was born in Jackson, Michigan on May 23, 1954 to the late Edward Gene Banks and Twila Marilyn Robinson Banks who survives. Left to carry on his wife Nancy, daughter Jennifer (Ran) Launstien, grandsons Keaton and Max, Brothers Gene(Nancy), Jerry(Bambi), and sisters Linda(Jeff) Douglas, Sandy (Dean) Minix, Diana Waltz and special brother Ron Eisenlohr.

When George retired, as an Engineer from Dart Container, he chose to winter in Harlingen, Texas where he became a cherished member of the Eastgate Mobile home Community, where he leaves many , many dear friends. George was the "go to" guy to fix all things motorized and was especially known for his magic in golf cart repairs. He could turn a relic into a Cadillac with the help of his loving wife Nancy.

There were many lively conversations on their front patio. George would often end them with his "tongue in cheek" response "Go On GIT!" His smile and humor will be sadly missed.

George loved boating,fishing, motorcycle riding and helping out wherever he was able. He was a long-time member of Holt-Mason Eagles and proud supporter of VFW Post 7309.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eastgate Activity Club or the Holt Eagles.
