He was born to Floyd and Agnes Dowden in Elk City, Oklahoma on May 10, 1949. David’s career extended to positions in State and Federal governments as an auditor.
He loved hunting, fishing, the beach, the Dallas Cowboys, watching tennis and being with family and friends.
David is survived by his loving wife, Thadea Corkill, his son Matthew Dowden, Stepsons Mark Garcia and Joseph Loney. Also surviving David are brother Rex (Wife Avia) Dowden, 5 grandchildren, niece Heather Fitzgerald (John), nephew Derrick Dowden ( Christie) several brothers and sisters in law as well as his special friend and caregiver, Frank Corkill.
A memorial will be held for David at Canyon Lake at a later time.
