Celia "Sally" Garza Mata

Sally was known as a kind and caring wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She leaves everlasting memories in the hearts of all that knew her.

To carry on Sally's legacy are her children Steven Ray Mata (Iesha); Victoria Nicole Mata Martinez; and Jacqueline Marie Mata De La Cruz (JJ); her treasured grandchildren Israel Martinez Jr.; Khloe Nicole Martinez, Myles Jordan Mata and Joziah Jay De La Cruz; her mother Oralia Rangel; her siblings Sandra Garza Amaya, Delma Garza Hughes (Randy) and Valentine Rangel III and the father of her children Oscar Mata Jr.

Celia was preceded in death by her father Juan G. Garza; her brother Johnny Garza; and her son-in-law Israel Martinez.

May Celia "Sally" Garza Mata be a source of strength and inspiration to us all.

Honor to serve as pallbearers are Valentine Rangel III, Eddie Amaya III, Jonathan Amaya, Dillion Berquist, Willie Leal Jr., Isiah Leal, Abraham Leal, JJ De La Cruz, and Israel Martinez Jr.

A visitation for Celia will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St, San Benito, Texas at 1:00 p.m. followed by a burial on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
