Harlingen – Bob Hastings passed away June 8, 2016 in Harlingen, Texas. He was born and adopted by Betty Jo Hastings and Chester Hastings on February 6, 1956 in Cleburne, Texas. He married Angela (Annie) Hastings in Dallas, Texas on June 16, 1973. They were married for 43 wonderful years.
He is survived by his wife, Annie; his daughters Christina Southern, Corrina Hunt; son-in-laws Quinton Bryson, Tony Southern; granddaughters Shyloh Southern, Katryna Bryson; grandsons Logan Southern, Bishop Bryson.
Bob went to school in Everman, TX and he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1981. He had worked at Dish Network for the past 9 years, where he made a friend of everyone and was a father figure to some.
The most important things in Bob's life were his loving wife, his family and his beard. His hobbies were collecting just about everything from motorcycles to tattoos. He loved to snack on just about any junk food he could talk his family and friends into getting him. He could usually be found in a toy store or convention looking for his next collectable, that he would then try to hide from his wife.
Bob was a very private person with his personal life so there will be no viewing or service. He wanted his family and friends to remember him with their best memories of him instead. Those he left behind will remember him with only love in their hearts. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heavenly Grace Funeral Home and Crematory, a Dignity memorial provider.
