Alfredo Gonzalez

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Alfredo Gonzalez, 68, of Mercedes, Texas. He passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022 in Richmond Texas surrounded by those who love him. He was born to Ventura and Guadalupe Gonzalez in 1954.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda Gonzalez, his son Adrian Gonzalez, daughter in law Veronica Gonzalez and grandson Lorenzo, his daughter Christi Chavez, son in law Miguel Chavez and grandson Ritchie Esai as well as his sister Elia Trevino and brother Gilbert Gonzalez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Teresa Gonzalez and brother Eliseo Gonzalez. He was a devoted husband for 47 years and loved being a dad. He absolutely adored being a grandfather and his grandsons loved him very much. Our dad loved life, was always smiling and was an amazing father who was always there for us. He was a social butterfly and was always involved in softball and volleyball. He was known for his dad jokes and his unmatched love for Tejano, dancing, and everything Dallas Cowboys. Everyone who met him loved him. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Till we meet again.

Service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 at Garcia Trevino Funeral home in Mercedes, Texas from 9AM to 1 PM. Please stop by and share a memory, Dallas Cowboys attire is strongly encouraged.
