He was preceded in death by parents John and Gisela ‘Āpana.
He is survived by wife Carol Hāli‘imaile ‘Āpana, son Walter Kua‘āina (Sunny Jo) ‘Āpana, daughters Jasmine Kamāla ‘Āpana (Dennis) Morales, Janell Kamaile (Pradeep) Chand, LaVerne Kalehua (Pono) ‘Āpana, Michelle ‘Ilima ‘Āpana (Dillon) Hose, Roxanne Kalei‘awapuhi (Aaron) Carvalho, brothers Dennis ‘Āpana, Duane ‘Āpana, 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at the Anahola Clubhouse. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by service.
