William “Bill” Joseph Glosser, 81, of Kokomo passed away Thursday, December 13 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 9, 1937 to Arthur and Charlotte (Price) Glosser in Kokomo, Indiana.
Bill was always a busy man, working hard from a young age. On June 28, 1958, he married Beverly Deardorff and together they raised a daughter, Cathy Jo Young. Bill was a jack of all trades and did whatever he needed to do to take care of his family. For a while he worked for Hook’s and later went on to spend more than 20 years at Cuneo Press until they went out of business. After that he was a mechanic at Preston Auto Sales and retired from there. When he wasn’t with family, Bill could be found at his favorite fishing hole in Galveston, or sitting on the couch watching the Pacers and Colts. Bill loved spending time with his grandkids; he and Beverly took them on trips when they were younger from California, to Florida and anywhere in between. He loved his family dearly and would do anything to keep them safe. He will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly; sister, Patricia Ryan; daughter, Cathy Young; grandkids, Brad (Michelle) Glosser, Brandy (Robert) Allen, Mandy (Robert) Thurman, Melissa (Joe) Long and Leann Hall; great grandkids, Kyle Wetzel, Jay McKinney, Robert Thurman III, Brittany Thurman, Debbie Hamilton, Kaylee Hamilton, Dylan Long and Jaycee Allen; and great-great grandson, Mason.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Art Glosser.
Family will receive friends Monday, December 17 from 10am – noon at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana, with service to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
