Wilfred Thompson

Wille was born on June 22nd, 1941 in Madisonville, KY to his late parents Cyril Hazel Wood and Gladys Virginia Thompson (Vogt)

Wille married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Patsy Thompson (McNeil) in Indianapolis on May 23rd, 1960.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, siblings Janet Kienzle, Melissa Young, and James Thompson; daughter Teresa Morgan, son-in-laws Keith Morgan and Scott Butzin. Wille is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren Josh, Emily, Matt, Brandi, Abby, Andrew, Elijah, Jordan, Malachi, Daniale, DJ, Rachel, and Hannah; five great grandchildren Trevor, Hadassah, Nehemiah, MiKayla, MaKenzie, and several nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Arsenal Tech High School he served our nation honorably in the US Army from 1961-1967 and was a Chaplain for Vietnam Veterans. Wille was a founding member of One Accord Church during which time he was their Head Usher, Head Trustee, Head Greeter, Special Projects Director, Fundraising Coordinator, and Deacon. He retired from Chrysler in 1996 after a career spanning 31 years during which time he was active in the UAW 685.

Wille was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather and his family will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Angela Butzin, siblings Cyril Frederick Thompson, Rita Morgan Joyce, Michael Thompson, and Howard Thompson.

Services will be Monday July 17th, 2017 at 1:00pm at One Accord Church (2015 E Carter Street Kokomo 46901 with visitation from 11:00am with Rev. Andrew T. Lawler and Rev. Matthew P. King officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery
