Obituary of Wilfred "Bill" A. Hetzel
Wilfred “Bill” A. Hetzel, age 90, of Kokomo IN passed away on March 24, 2022 at home. He was born on Sept. 9, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI to G. Clemens and Katherine (Tekus) Hetzel. On April 9, 1977 he married Nancy Jane Bechtel. Bill was a 1949 graduate of Bay View High School in Milwaukee, WI. He also attended the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Indiana University/Kokomo. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Bill retired from General Motors and EDS. He also taught at Manpower Business Training Center in Milwaukee and was a Certified Data Processor. Bill was a life member of AMVETS and was a past commander of Post 60 in Milwaukee. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, parents, brothers John and Robert Hetzel, brother-in-law Robert McBee, son Mark Hetzel, and great-grandchild Aryannah Calaff. Surviving him is his brother Richard Hetzel of Milwaukee, WI; sisters Barbara Kudriko of Milwaukee, WI and Sharon Duchac of Redwood, CA; sons Craig Hetzel of S. Milwaukee, WI, Keith (Judy) Hetzel of Avon, IN, and Scott (Marianne Schussler) Hetzel of Marinette, WI; daughters Mary-Kay (Tim) Schwartz of Cudahy, WI, and Judy Ritchey; daughters-in-law Peggy Bechtel of New Whiteland, and 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Hetzel will be Monday March 28, 2022 1:00pm at Ellers Mortuary 3400 S. Webster St. Kokomo with visitation from 11:00am until time of service. Burial will follow with military rites at Sunset Memory Gardens. Pastor Jeff Sexton will officiate.
