Victory Lyne Hogan

Victory Lyne Hogan, 81, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away April 4, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1943 in Republic, Pennsylvania the daughter of Raymond and Arlena (Davis) Grooms. She was an assembler at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1998 after 31 years of service.

Victory accepted Christ in 1974 and became a member of New Bethel Tabernacle/ Everlasting Dominion Fellowship/Impact Life Church where she served faithfully as a prayer warrior, Usher Board staff member, Bible study attendee and financial administrator. She was a member of the Local #292. She loved doing all kinds of things and her favorite was spending money. She also liked to crochet, do crafts, decorate, and attending church. She was an avid traveler and traveled as far as Alaska, Rome and Egypt.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Rivers; son, James Pride Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; brothers, Ronald (Mary) Grooms, Carver (Rita) Grooms; sisters, Linda Thorpe, Sharon Waldington; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, loved ones and friends.

Victory was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Richard Grooms, Clarence Grooms, Emma Turpin, Betty White, Ann McWilliams, Veverly McGhee, Edward Grooms, Ralph Grooms, Robert Grooms, Eugene Grooms, Arlene Mason; granddaughter, Jasmyn; best friend, Janice Warren.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Entombment will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park.
