Sue "Susy" Elaine Baker, beloved wife of Richard Baker, passed away at the age of 70 on July 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She dedicated her life to nursing and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sue was known for her unwavering faith and her profound love for God.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard Baker, and their five children; Brady Trent, Haley (Brian) Cox, Donna (Jeff) Johnson, Michelle Lindberg, and a son who preceded her in death, Patrick Shone. She also has 8 grandchildren; Kayla Salinas, Hallie Bontrager, Jordan Bicasan, Ashley Matroni, Johnathan Baker, Brandon Lindberg, Nicholas Lindberg and Caleb Lindberg; and 6 great-grandchildren, along with 3 sisters, Diane (Bill) Baker, Rita McGuigan, and Lisa Watkins. She was a cherished daughter of Patricia and Paul Watkins, and she is now reunited with them in heaven, along with her brothers, Mark Watkins and Greg Watkins, and her son, Patrick.
Throughout her life, Sue found joy in simple pleasures like knitting, coloring, and reading her Bible. She was an active member of her church community attending craft classes and Bible studies regularly. Sue's kindness, loyalty, and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Sue's spirit lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and grace. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Rd., Kokomo, on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM. We ask as a final tribute to Susy, please wear pink to her celebration in memory of her.
