Stephen D. Oliver

Stephen D. Oliver, 66, and Lolita Oliver, 71, of Kokomo, both passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2014. Stephen was born October 22, 1947, in Bristol, to Fred and Ruby (Gilley) Oliver. Lolita was born April 6, 1943, in Kokomo, to Gerald and Lola Belle (Roe) Elliott. They were married on July 30, 1976.

Stephen worked as an ironworker for 46 years before retiring, and Lolita worked at GM-Delphi before retiring. They were members of the Family Worship Center in Kokomo.

They are survived by their children, Teresa Davis of Warren, Matt Richey of Scottsdale, Arizona, Todd Richey of Kokomo, and Leah Smith of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and Stephen’s brother, Sonny Oliver and sister, Jewel Shoemaker.

Stephen was preceded in death by his son, Danny Oliver, four sisters, one brother, and one grandson, Dustin Bailey. They were both preceded in death by their parents.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Family Worship Center, 1149 E. Center Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Kokomo. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
