Stella Louise Sullivan, 74, of Kokomo, passed away at St Vincent Kokomo on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born to the late King Lowe and Mirella (Merlo) Lowe on December 22, 1946 in Kokomo. She married John Sullivan, August 27th 1962 in St. Louis, MO.
Stella was primarily a homemaker who was devoted to her family. She worked as a cook at the former Burlington Broke n Spoke for many years. She worked at Hardee’s for a few years, making the rise and shine biscuits. She enjoyed playing cards, watching her grandkids compete at tractor pulls, and watching movies with her loved ones. She was known for her charismatic and fun loving personality. She made everyone feel special and had unique nicknames for all her family members. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church.
She is survived by her husband John Sullivan of 59 years; daughters, Tammie Burton (Gary), Jody Ennis, Stacy McKinney (Doug), and Jonna Sullivan; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sister, Dina Gabriel; and many nieces and nephews.
Stella is preceded in death by her sister, Josephina Williamson, and son-in-law, Jeff Ennis.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel from noon to 1pm. A funeral service will begin at 1pm with Rev. Fr. Christopher Shocklee officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Point cemetery.
