Obituary of Sandra Faye (Bunn) Cook
Sandra "Sandy" Faye (Bunn) Cook, 68, of Kokomo, went to be with The Lord on January 24th, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a four year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Lorain, Ohio to the late Alexander and Maxine (McCoy) Bunn. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1971 before attending Indiana Business College. Sandy worked as a professional cake decorator for many years. She was a talented artist as well as an avid doll and dollhouse collector. Her largest dollhouse creation, which is fully furnished with a working electrical system, will be donated to the Dollhouse Museum in Carmel, IN. Sandy and her husband loved to dance, particularly swing dancing and The Jitterbug, and antique shopping. She was also a member of the Social Butterflies Bowling League. Sandy's grandchildren loved coming over for her annual tea parties, where her grandson Nicholas played his guitar and sang to her. She also loved attending Bethel Tabernacle Church of God. She met the love of her life, Danny, at the UAW picnic in 1984, and they had their first date on Valentine's Day of the same year. They married August 17, 1984, and their love shined bright through 38 years of marriage. They renewed their vows on March 31, 2019. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Orley and Marlene Cook; and her beloved dog, Blackie. She is survived by her loving husband, Danny; her children, Valerie Cornelius (Gregory), Renee' Summers (Eric), Amanda Glassburn (Scott Owens), Wade Cook (Lisa), Brent Cook (Jen), and Alison Rish; siblings, Mick Bunn (Brenda), Steve Bunn (Kim), Donald Bunn, Vicki Wheeler (Larry), and Barbie Dobbert (Brian); grandchildren: Vance and Blake Williamson; Andrew, Brent, and Justin Ledford; Acacia Riddle; Brandon and Jeren Cook; Kylar and Tristen Cook; Nicholas Rish (Riley), Haydan Miller, Amora Harrington, John Miller, and Katara Booher; six great grandchildren; special cousin, Debbie Moore, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sandy will be laid to rest next to her parents at Crown Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sandy's memory to her husband, Danny.
