Robert L. Boyd
November 27, 1935 – May 30, 2018

Robert L. Boyd, age 82, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Bob was born November 27, 1935 to the late Paul J. and Georgia E. (Griffin) Boyd. He married Vickie (Harp) Boyd on January 13, 1973 in Kokomo. She survives him.
Bob was a Logansport High School graduate, class of 1956. He then went to work at Kokomo Chrysler Casting Plant, retiring after 37 and a half years and was a member of U.A.W. 1166. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, traveling, and especially woodworking. Bob was on the Chrysler men's bowling league for several years and a member of the Midnight Riders Motorcycle Club. He always enjoyed spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving him are wife Vickie, brother John Boyd, sister Carol Crockett, sons Brian Boyd (Vickie), Bradley Boyd (Kimberly), daughters Lori Murphy (Scott), Nicole Ogle (Toby), grandchildren, Austin (Brooke), Alex (Judilynn) and Arlon Boyd, Chelsea Gonzales (Christopher), Nathaniel Murphy (Emily), Brandon Boyd, Chase, Chance and Braxton Ogle, great grandchildren, Abram, Georgiana and Jordan and several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, brother James Boyd, a niece and brother in law Larry Crockett.
Funeral Services for Bob will take place Monday June 4, 2018 at 11a.m. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel; 3400 South Webster Street with Chaplain Steven Walker officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 to 7p.m. A private burial with family will be at a later date at Ever Rest Cemetery in Logansport.
