elva Jean (Williams) Johnson. On June 9, 1972 in Kokomo, he married Sharon Elaine (Bays), and she survives. He was a firefighter for the City of Kokomo for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the International Fire Investigators in Indianapolis and was also an Arson Investigator. He was a music disc Jockey years ago and currently participated in Indian Rendezvous.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Elaine Johnson of Kokomo; three sons Chip (Karyn) Johnson of Kokomo, Lance (Derinda) Creamer of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Layne (Mary) Creamer of Monterrey, Mexico; seven grandchildren Lynae Helton, Malaysha Chappel, Nakota Creamer, Kaiden Johnson, Lacey Blessing, Miranda Presley, and Alicia Simmons. There are also seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Dixie Martin.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 10, 2017 at St. Lukes United Methodist Church, 700 East Southway Blvd, Kokomo. Pastor Mitch Norwood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at the church.
