Patricia Shirley (Curry) Wooten

Patricia was born on June 17, 1931 in Reading, Pennsylvania to the late James J. and Eva (Heiser) Curry. She graduated from Edwin M. Holt High School in Alamance, North Carolina in 1949.

On November 3, 1954, Patricia was married to Thomas Wooten in Alamance, North Carolina. Thomas preceded Patricia in death on May 7, 2004.

Patricia had been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kokomo. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting doilies, and sewing. She and her husband spent their younger years taking their motorcycle out west through the mountains. Most of all, Patricia loved being with her family, and would always support her children and grandchildren with their sports activities.

Patricia is survived by her children, Greg Wooten, Dana (Audrey) Wooten, Kathy (Steve) Ramey, and Rick Wooten; grandchildren, Derrick Porter, Eric Wooten, Jessica Porter, and Christopher Wooten; 4 nieces and nephews; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Porter; brother, James J. Curry Jr.; and sister, Carmen Frakalas.

There will be a public visitation for Patricia at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo on Monday, November 27th from 11-1, with a funeral service immediately following.
