In 1972, Patricia was married to Emmitt J. Carpenter in Mentone, Indiana. Emmitt preceded Patricia in passing in 1983. Patricia was a member of the Eagles, as well as the Cass County Civil Defense and Special Officers. In her free time, Patricia enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing Bingo. More than anything, Patricia was very family oriented, and loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her children, Dianna Hazelton, Glen (Pansy) Tharp, John (Shawnda) Tharp, and Bruce (Shawnee) Tharp Jr.; sister, Juanita Weese; twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in passing by two daughters, Rita Cardwell and Joyce Lee Tharp; brother, Phillip Lewellen; and two sisters, Virginia Duke and Eva Roberson.
There are no scheduled services for Patricia at this time. Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo is handling arrangements.
