Patricia A. (Newcom) Baker, 85, passed away on October 7th, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. Pat was born on September 3rd, 1933 in Kokomo to Jesse and Margaret Newcom. Pat married William "Bill" Edward Baker on November 24th, 1951, in Eaton, Indiana, and he preceded her in passing in 2003.
Pat was a huge Notre Dame fan, and loved the Patriots as well. She enjoyed working in the yard, feeding her squirrels, and spending time with her cat, Brady. She liked to fish with her big cane pole with her family. Pat enjoyed shopping for clothes and watching QVC. Pat loved to travel to Branson and Little Nashville with Bill and her family. They attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for many years. Pat will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Pat leaves behind her children, Steve (Deborah) Baker of Columbus, Indiana, Debbie (Jeff) Crooks of Kokomo, Kim (Bob) Sturgeon of Kokomo, and Tim (Gloria) Baker of Kokomo; her sister, Mary Lou Irwin; grandchildren Matthew Baker, Stephanie Baker, Jennifer Crooks, Holly Polk, Kyle Sturgeon, Keith Barnett, and Mindy Conaway; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat is preceded in passing by her husband, her parents, son Jeffery Baker; grandchild Brent William Miniear; siblings Eileen Beahrs, Jesse Earl Newcom Jr, Barbara Indrutz, Jerry Newcom, and Billy Newcom.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, October 12th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 South 200 West, Kokomo, Indiana 46902 . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM, celebrated by Father Arbuckle.
Pat will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens following the service.
