Noel Robert Burger

Noel Robert Burger, 83, of Kokomo passed away at 3:02 PM Sunday October 21, 2018 at Northwoods Village, Kokomo. Born July 19, 1935 in New Haven, Indiana he was the son of the late Martin J. Burger and Lulu Irene (Troop) Burger. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force. On October 25, 1980 in Bennetts Switch, Indiana he married Adrian V. (Blair), and she survives. He was an insurance agent with Allstate for 35 years, before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan. He also liked traveling the East coast.

Survivors include his wife of over 37 years, Adrian V. Burger of Kokomo; one son Dwayne Martin Burger of Tipton; two daughters Cheryl Elizabeth (Jerry) Ford of O'Fallon, IL, Gayle Ann (Brian) Warren of Sims, IN; five step-daughters Cynthia Arnett of Kokomo, Debra (Ed) Graber of Peru, Joni (William) Aaron of Greenwood, IN, Carol (Art) Hwang of Marlton, NJ, and Jennifer (Scott) Julian of Broad Ripple, IN. There are four grandchildren Elizabeth Irene Ford, Gregory Aaron Ford, Allen Jacob Warren, and Kristen Anne Warren; one great granddaughter Evelyn Plumb. There are 10 step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents; also by the mother of his children Marilyn Burger; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Thursday October 25, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Lynn Brust will officiate. Entombment with military rites by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites Team at Everest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Shriner's Hospital for Children, with envelopes available at the mortuary.
