He was born on November 9th, 1979 in Kokomo, IN to his parents Rickey and Carolyn M. Byous Cook
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Rickey and Mary Byous, sisters April Eve and Deborah Jean Byous
Michael had an immense passion for helping others which often included helping anyone homeless he encountered. He was the type of man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was very outgoing and was always the life of the party. Michael was an avid Artist and in his spare time as a tattoo artist he was able to express his love for Art. He also loved playing his guitar and listening to all genres of music.
He will be remembered for his compassion, smile, laughter, but most of all his love for his family and children. Michael joined McCarthy Builder’s in 2013 and was proud and honored to work for such a great organization. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #225 as well as a Master Carpenter.
He is survived by his parents Carolyn M. (Russell) Byous Cook, love of his life Katie Groves of Russiaville, children Karely Groves, Madilyn Cheesman, Jonas Groves; siblings Rickey (Valerie Ford) Byous of Claxton, GA, Melissa Lindsey of Smyrna, GA; Stacy (Jeremy Foltz) Byous of Kokomo; John (Amanda) Byous of Kokomo. Aunts Beverly Lamott of Peru, Marilyn Beene of Kokomo, Deborah Aschemier of Mableton, GA; Uncle Huey (Lynda) Byous Jr. of Alabama; grandfather Charles Beene of Kokomo; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday January 7th, 2017 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior and Friday January 6th from 4:00pm-7:00pm all at Eller Mortuary (3400 S Webster Street) with Revered Junior Melton officiating. Interment at Albright Cemetery.
