Mary Catherine Shaw was born to William and Joy Ann Tharp on June 24, 1954 in Kokomo, Indiana. She peacefully went to her heavenly home on October 25th 2018, with her loving son and daughter by her side.
Cathy was a graduate of Kokomo High School and served our country with honor in the U.S. Army. Cathy enjoyed traveling, and was a faithful antique collector and a passionate reader. She was a member of Mt Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.
Cathy is survived by her son Don Tharp, daughter Michaél (Derrick) Tharp-Hughes, step-son Scott (Michelle) Evans and step-daughter Amanda Evans. Brother William "Bill" Tharp, sisters Suzanne (Ronnie) Davis, Julie Tharp, Jenny Murphy and Stephanie Duvall. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of neices and nephews.
She will undoubtedly be missed by a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father William Tharp.
A Celebration of Life will be held, November 1, 2018 at 11am at Mt Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.
