Martha Rose Becker

Martha Rose Becker of Lafayette passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2017. She was born in Howard County, Indiana on December 2, 1925 to Frank and Bertha (Weaver) Rioth. She graduated from Howard Township high school in 1943. She was married to her loving husband, Robert Becker, in Kokomo on February 6, 1944. She lived in Kokomo until 1978 when the couple moved to Lafayette, Indiana. Her last place of employment was the food service at Purdue. She was a member of Covenant Church. Martha loved her family dearly and was most happy when she was entertaining them.

She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Becker, a son Robert (Pat) Becker Jr. of Loveland, Ohio, Two daughters Julie (James) Powell of West Lafayette and Margaret (Thomas) Minett of Braidwood, Illinois. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren plus one more on the way and a sister, Gretta Smith of Galveston, Indiana. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Marie, her parents and four sisters. Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, Thursday July 20, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, with a service to follow at 2:00PM. She is to be interred at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
