Loretta Lou Auten

Loretta Lou Auten, 87, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away August 28, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1936 in Kokomo, IN the daughter of Eugene Harold and Lettie (Land) Robinson. She was a 1954 graduate of Kokomo High School. Loretta was a professional seamstress and was able to create amazing fashions and owned her own upholstery shop. She enjoyed many intricate crafts such as diamond dotz, and anything involving sewing. She also loved square dancing and round dancing.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Donna (Don) Hamilton; daughter, Barbara (John) Ranieri; grandchildren, Lorre Ann Rayls, John Allen, Michelle (Dave) Birden, Adam Owsley, Ashlei Smith, Laure Steininger; 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Taylor, Oliver, Patrick (Sol) Porter, Jesse (Maria Bosler) Porter, Tyler (Gabrielle) Rayls, Brayden Meyer, Kaelyn Campbell, Marlei Detmore, Landen Allen ; 6 great-great grandchildren, Jacob, Aydan, River, Noah, Emma, Forrest, Francisco; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; and daughters, Kym and Robin.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Galveston on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:00 am until the start of funeral services at 1:00 pm. Share a memory with the family at www.ellersmortuary.com.
