Lila Mae Fitchpatrick, 86, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, May 04, 2011, at Waterford Place. She was born January 26, 1925, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to John C. and Ina Mae (Stephens) McCallister. She married James O. Fitchpatrick, and he survives.
She had worked at Schultz department store as a clerk. She cherished her children and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her friends, and singing. She sang in the church choir at Gospel Light Mission, where she had been a long time member.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Otis (Phyllis) Fitchpatrick, and Jerry Fitchpatrick; three daughters, Gloria Tucker, Karlene (Danny) Ryan, and Deloris Myers; son-in-law, Scott Cox; one brother; five sisters; fourteen grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Cox, one sister, and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
