He graduated from Western High School in Kokomo. He then joined the United States Marine Corps. Kennard proudly served from January 1986 to December 1991, protecting his country in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After his service in the Marine Corps, he served in the Army National Guard. He then worked for the Chrysler Corp. (FCA) for 23 years.
Kenny was first and foremost a family man and adored his time with his loved ones. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, and forged friendships through his bowling league, pool league, and on the golf course. He never met a stranger and always had a joke to share.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Rebekah; daughters, Briana and Savannah; granddaughter, Sariah; devoted mother, Rhoda Gresham; sisters, Kristie Hodges and Stephanie Frizzell; in-laws, Eric and Janice Lantz; brother-in-law, Blake Hawley; and special friends, Matt Sutton and Curtis Shupperd.
There will be a viewing for Mr. Curtis from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30th 2017, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at New Life Church, 1803 E. Vaile Ave., with Pastor Randy Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with full military honors.
The family's preferred memorial may be made in Kennard's memory to TOYS FOR TOTS, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
