Kathy Jean Deck

Kathy Jean Deck, 59, Pendleton, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital. She was born February 10, 1955, in Anderson, to Walter and Gladys (Williams) Boles. She married David W. Deck, and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2012. She graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1973 and was a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson. She is survived by one son, Zachary Hathcoat; two daughters, Tammy (Chad) Jeffries, and Brandi Demick; six grandchildren, Gavin King, Olivia Creasy, Kadin Demick, Ethan Hathcoat, Eli Hathcoat, and Gracie Demick; her first husband, Larry Hathcoat, Markleville; two brothers, Ronnie Boles, Missouri, and Eddie (Debra) Boles, Markleville; one sister, Carolyn (Chuck) Eytchison, Markleville; and her beloved Yorkie, Ru. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
