Joyce Laverne Williams

Joyce moved to Kokomo with a sister at a young age. She was married to Gwyn C. Williams in October of 1958. Joyce and Gwyn owned and operated Williams Standard Service Station in Kokomo for25 years.

Joyce is survived by 2 daughters, Kay (Danny) and Debbie (Neal); 2 sons, Jerry (Diana) and Carl (Kathy), and a daughter-in-law, Colleen. She also has 2 surviving sisters, Lannie and Barbara. Joyce has 16 grandchildren, Chris (Sarah), Eric (Megan), Travis (Cara), Crystal, Chad (Marci), Brittany (George), Clayton (Mandy), Collin (Angela), Cory, Connor, Angie (Justin), Gwyndyn (George), Stephanie (Jeremiah), Neal Jr. (Rosette), Melody (Brandon), and Jayson. She also has 27 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.

Along with her parents and husband, Gwyn, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Jeff; brothers, Paul, Arthur, Earl, and Ralph; and sisters, Genevia, Lois, Elsie, and Wanda.

A public visitation for Joyce will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo on Wednesday, February 15th, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m., with a 1 hour visitation before the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions for Joyce may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
