Joshua Thomas Mays

He was a devoted and excellent daddy and took wonderful care of his daughter, Saige, throughout her life. He loved cooking, music and working on guns. He was a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his son, Sam Mays; mother, Deborah Mays; fiancé, Rebecca Dempsey; aunt, Sherry (Alyn) Davidson; Debbie and Travis Blue, who were like an aunt and uncle to him; special grandmother, Jo Luginbill; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Saige Mays; father, Thomas Mays; special dad, James T. Nelson; and grandparents, Eugene Armstrong, Millie Smith, and Vernon and Donna Mays.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a college fund for Sam.
