Joseph Michael Harris

Joseph Michael Harris, 57, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away June 2, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1966 in Kokomo, IN the son of Joseph Patrick and Emily R. Harris (Pasquali). On February 21, 1987 he married Annette L. Harris (McClish) who survives. Joseph loved coaching youth sports as his children were growing up. He enjoyed joking around with family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking, metal detecting, the outdoors, collecting marbles, camping, and spending time with family. Joseph was a huge Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed talking to his mom during games. He had a passion for history and has spent the past two years working with a historian to ensure his great grandfather, William Simon Harris, is honored properly with the presentation of the Medal of Honor for his heroic deeds during the Spanish War. Joseph worked at Humphrey Printing, in downtown Kokomo, for many years. He was a loving husband, father and son who cared deeply for those around him. Surviving relatives include his wife, Annette L. Harris of Kokomo, IN; mother, Emily R. Harris; daughters, Monica Barber (Robert); Madelina Harris; sons, Joseph Harris, Jr. (Courtney); JonPatrick Harris; grandchildren, Heaven; Ocean; Izick; Izzabella; Milan; Broghan; sisters, Bridgette Ann Wilson (Tom); Susan Spohn (Max); nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center.
