

Johnny was born on April 8th, 1993 in Kokomo to his parents Randy VanDorn and Jeni Whitehead (Slegel).
Johnny loved Sprint Car Racing and working on race cars with his dad, brother Tyler, and Cole. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, shooting guns, and attending musical concerts. He was a fan of Metallica, Black Sabbath, and the Rolling Stone’s. Johnny was very outgoing making sure that everyone had a smile on their face. He remained humble and stuck up for the underdogs and ensuring no one was ever a stranger. Johnny’s home church was Rock Prairie Church where he attended with his family and they all loved Pastor Kevin.
The twenty-three years we were blessed to have you, were the best years of our lives. We will not let your death be in vain, and I know that God will use you to heal others through your story. The boy with the beautiful smile, is smiling again. He adored his family and friends dearly and will be sincerely missed by them all.
He is survived by his father Randy VanDorn and mother Jeni (Jim) Whitehead, brothers Tyler VanDorn and Justin Whitehead; sister Jena Whitehead, grandparents Marianne Keuthan and Kenny (Sharon) VanDorn; Aunt Nicole (Chad) Clouser; and several more aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Slegel.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Johnny may be made to the Rock Prairie Church Food Pantry (421 Ash St. Tipton 46072)
Services will be Friday February 10th at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior and Thursday February 9th from 4-8pm all at Rock Prairie Church (421 Ash St. Tipton 46072) with Pastor Kevin Carr officiating. Interment will follow services at Sharpsville Cemetery.
