Janice Marlene Anthony, age 75 passed away November 2, 2021 at 1:52 p.m. in Kokomo. Janice was born in Kokomo, Indiana on August 25, 1946 to Gorman and Sarah (Lindley) Anthony.
Janice graduated from Kokomo High School in 1964 and retired from Chrysler Casting Plant. Janice loved being with her family, loved holiday gatherings, and loved cooking until it was too hard for her to stand and breathe. She loved watching all the grandbabies play and talk, and all the funny conversations. She always wanted to go to Hawaii but never got the chance. Janice was always a loving, gentle soul and would do anything for anyone.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Gorman D. Anthony and Sarah (Lindley) Anthony; her sister Joyce Collins; and partner in life, James O. Smith.
Janice leaves her children, Troy Bishop, Kimberly Bailey, Tamara (John) Dees, and Kevin Carter; 10 grandkids, Jessica Bishop, Austin (Charlotte) Bailey, Jennifer (Jesse) Sutherland, Lisa Beeman, Tyler Beeman, Tarina (Rachael) Arredondo, Ashleigh (Josh) Laughner, William Page, Lacey Page and Brandon (Jayce) Carter and Cayla Lanning; and 14 great-grandkids. Also surviving are Janice’s brothers and sisters, James (Louetta) Anthony, Judy (Kenneth) Toney, Gary (Mary) Anthony, and Jeanine (Max) Elmore; and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services for Janice will be Friday November 12, 2021 at 1:00pm, with visitation from 11:00am until time of service at Ellers Mortuary Main Street location 725 S. Main St. Kokomo, IN 46901. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Pastor Doug Benham will officiate.
