James "Jim" Richard Perkins

James "Jim" Richard Perkins, 64, Sharpsville, finished his fight against cancer and went to be with Jesus at 12:36 p.m. Thursday, July 28th, 2022 peacefully at home with his wife and daughter. He was born to the late Paul and Tolitha (Rater) Perkins on Feb. 25th, 1958 in Tipton, Indiana. On June 25, 1983, he married the love of his life Diana "Susie" (Voss) Perkins. He laid carpet for many years, and later worked for Sam's club for 13 years, the last of those years as a door greeter, where he did what he said was his "calling" of making people smile and laugh. He enjoyed fishing with his buddies, hunting, his beloved Chicago “Cubbies”, playing cards and going to church every Sunday that he could. He loved his family, church family from Beulah Land, friends, and all the coaches, associates, and members from Sam's Club.

Jim was preceded in death by; his parents, Paul and Tolitha; two sisters, Judy Kay Perkins and Sue (Jack) Pentland; and four brothers; Gale, Lee, George (Linda), Dave.

Survivors include; his wife, Susie, his daughter, Gabrielle, sisters-in-law, Faye Perkins, Jane Perkins White and Bunny; as well as adopted daughters, a god-granddaughter and multiple nieces and nephews.

There will be a time for visitation Wednesday, August 3, from 3-7pm at Beulah Land Church, 6569 N. 400 W. Sharpsville. Funeral services will be at 11 am, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Beulah Land Church, with burial at Albright Cemetery, 3910 Albright Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902.
