James “Jewil” Causey, 88, Kokomo, passed away June 27, 2015 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Jewil was born August 28, 1926 in Winfield, AL, the son of Jack and Mary (Webster) Causey.
He served in the U.S. Army in WW II. Jewil retired from Continental Steel. He was devoted to his family. Jewil was also a huge baseball fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Chapin) Causey, his son, John Kevin Causey, his sisters, Gladys Burns, Adell Ward, Emma Lee Smith, Elma Combs, and his brothers, Homer Causey, Roy Causey, Joe D. Causey, and his twin brother, Junior Causey.
Jewil is survived by his sister and brother, who are twins, Betty Sullivan and Bobby Causey (Irene), his sister-in-law, Lillian Causey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Home Care and Hospice.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 1 at 1 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 30, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
