James Francis Aaron

Following high school, James enlisted into the United States Navy, and served for four years as an electrician on the USS Montrose, and assisted with taking Marines to shore. After he was honorably discharged, James spent some time working for the post office, and then went to work at Delco (Delphi) Electronics for 30 years as a pipefitter.

James was married to the love of his life, Barbara, in Kokomo, and she survives. James and Barbara enjoyed spending time visiting historic landmarks, particularly related to the Civil War. James was very knowledgeable on history related to previous wars, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. James also liked spending time outdoors and playing with his poodles. More than anything, James loved being with his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Barbara Aaron, James is survived by his daughter, April (Tim) Held; grandchildren, Amanda, David, Benjamin, and Faith; brother, Norman Aaron; sister, June Hobbs; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in passing by five brothers and two sisters.

There will be a public visitation for James held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7th from 4-7 p.m. followed immediately by a funeral service. James will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery at a later date.
