Harley A. Dodd, 85, of Kokomo, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1939 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Freeman and Mima (Nelson) Dodd. Harley married Margie (Taylor) Dodd on September 6, 1958 in Kokomo. She passed away on March 2, 2018.
Harley retired from both Continental Steel and Community Howard Regional Hospital. During his early years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to theme parks, and attending blue grass festivals. In his later years, he became an avid gardener and crocheter. Harley was always a huge Johnny Cash fan. He was known as a big jokester to both his family and friends. Harley loved his wife and family dearly.
Surviving are four daughters, Linda M. Dodd, Donna Jane (Larry) Massey, Deloris A. Shelly, and Darlene K. (Greg) Avery; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; one brother, Hershell Dodd; sister-in-law, Mary F. Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death is his loving wife, Margie; and his parents.
The family will have a time of visitation for Harley on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, In 46902.
