Glenn was born on July 19th, 1930 in LaPorte, IN to Glen J. and Goldie (Bausom) Wilson.
Glenn married Rosemary Gilbert on August 12th, 1955 at Union St. Friends Church. They were first introduced on a blind date by their dear friends the McElfreshes.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Rosemary, children Brian (Kim) Wilson Sr. and Brenda King, grandchildren Steph (Audley) Chastain, Brian (Amy) Wilson II, Laura Timmons, Amanda Perkins, and Kara DeFabritis. Glenn is also survived by his great grandchildren Dakota and Jackson Chastain, Nevaeh, Aniyah, and Zairemy Willits,Haleigh and Cameron Perkins, Asa Chastain, and several nieces and nephews.
Glenn was a graduate of Kokomo High School, Class of 1948 and went on to serve our nation proudly during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. Upon returning he began working at Delco Radio. His caring personality led him to continue serving the Kokomo community as an officer with the Kokomo Police Department until his retirement after 20 years of service. After retirement he returned to
Delco until he retired 15 years later. His passions included electronics and radios, camping, fishing, boating, wood working, avid target shooting, and genealogy. Glenn's greatest passion in life was his family and being with them as much as possible. He attended First Friends Church, and was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, NRA, Kokomo Blue Angels RC Club, and was a member and founder of the Kokomo Repeater Club (K9QAU). In most recent years he enjoyed traveling to Florida with Rosemary and family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Goldie, brother Delbert D. Wilson, sisters Dorothy Hagglund, Francine Minor, and Evelyn Fewell. He was also preceded by his great granddaughter Madison Wilson-Perkins.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the "Shop with a Cop Fund" at the Kokomo Police Department. Glenn loved his grandchildren dearly and this is in support of all the children in the community.
Services will be held Thursday February 8th, 2018 at 12:00pm with Pastor Jonathan Newton officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday February 7th, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm and 11:00am until time of service all at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with Military Honors.
